Nadine Shah Returns with ‘Club Cougar’

Throughout her career Nadine Shah has never been pigeonholed by genre, incorporating everything from post-punk to indie folk in her sound. It's been close to three years since the release of Shah's third album 'Holiday Destination' but earlier this year she returned with the track 'Ladies For Babies', the first single taken from her upcoming LP 'Kitchen Sink', out June 26th.

Sinkane ‘Telephone’ Video

Sinkane returns with an upbeat video for his single 'Telephone', which is taken from his forthcoming album 'Life & Livin' It'. Directed by Bráulio Amado and Bruno Ferreira, there are clips of a girl wearing a body suit who dances throughout rooms in her place whilst Sinkane is busting a few moves on a TV screen with no shirt. A repeated sequence of scenes in a sense, the girl does random things like watering the plants and talking on the telephone before getting back to the main business at hand...dancing. Have a look.

Nubiyan Twist Deliver Their Ska-Fused Track ‘Headhunter’

Whilst there have been a number of bands to try to recreate the sound of ska and afrobeat, Leeds band Nubiyan Twist have done it well...extremely well. In 2015, they released their self-titled debut album which garnished support from the likes of David Rodigan and Huey Morgan, just to name a few. With their forthcoming EP 'Siren Song' scheduled to land May 27th on Wormfood Records, the 12 piece band now unveil their new track 'Headhunter'. Heavy-hitting with a roundhouse kick of ska, the festive song is an instant warmer, giving more credibility to the idea that Nubiyan Twist are one of the best to do it in these modern times.

Scrimshire Interview

A true musician will aim at making a recording that qualifies as a timeless work of art and in the process, touches our hearts and soul. Artist, producer and Wah Wah 45 label head Adam Scrimshire humbly took that position by drawing from his eclectic canvas of musical inspirations, successfully bridging them into carefully woven pieces that escaped the suicidal title of “fusion” and instead flaunted that of “finely executed sounds”.
