Placing Slothrust and Brittany Spears in the same sentence sounds about as crazy as calling Donald Trump sensible. However, whilst one wouldn’t immediately associate the Boston alternative band with a pop act like Spears, they have created quite the cover version of her hit single ‘Baby One More Time’. Completely restructuring the cut into a swinging alt rock hitter 10 times better than the original version in our opinion, the song is taken from Slothrust’s Show Me How You Want It To Be EP of covers which also includes reworkings of Black Sabbath’s ‘Electric Funeral’ and Al Green’s ‘Let’s Stay Together’, just to name a few.
