Ariel Levitan and Jeremy Dawson aka MXMS create what they dub as ‘funeral pop’. Whilst that can sound quite morbid, their music is actually quite gripping, evoking a sense of passion within the sometimes dark content. Their latest song ‘I Revenge’ is just that. Dealing with the idea of gaining revenge on an ex-lover caught romping around with someone else, the slow-marching piece plays with a beautiful haunt that is quite ear-catching.
