Meadowlark Announce ‘Nocturnes’ EP

Bristol-based duo Meadowlark have unveiled the details of their forthcoming Nocturnes EP, a new collection of single remixes. Set to get released March 10th on Believe Recordings, the record was recorded with a live string quartet, transforming the original songs into a new listening experience. The EP includes the tracks ‘Headlight’, ‘Eyes Wide’ and their cover of the Sugerbabes cut ‘About You Now’.

In regards to the Nocturnes EP, Meadowlark member Dan Broadley wrote:

“We’ve always written our songs in a raw and honest way that focusses solely on the melodies and chords before adding any production to them. ‘Nocturnes’ was an opportunity for us to reimagine those early versions of our songs, in their naked and premature state, so brittle that they feel like they could snap at any moment. One of the meanings of the word ‘nocturne’ is “a short composition inspired by, or evocative of, the night”. This felt fitting since almost all of our songs were written and recorded during the darker hours of the day, when the world was asleep and there was nothing to distract us.”
